FAQ
  People With Disabilities
Where can I get an interpreter?

Answer:
There are two ways: 1) call an interpreter referring agency, 2) contact an individual interpreter. DOD publishes the Michigan TTY, Service and Interpreter Directory periodically free of charge. The directory lists name, address and phone number of agencies and qualified and certified interpreters. Ask to see the interpreter's current card. All nationally certified or state qualified interpreters have a card. If they can show you the card, you know they have agreed to follow the RID Code of Ethics that includes confidentiality and professionalism. Contact DOD.
