Q. What is FILEOnline?
A. FILEOnline allows completed documents for corporations, limited liability companies, and limited partnerships to be submitted as an attachment to an email message that is received into our MICH-ELF system.
Q. What is MICH-ELF?
A. THe MICH-ELF service allows all Corporation Division documents, other than the annual reports, to be filed electronically. Using a fax machine, or now attaching documents to an email, documents can be sent directly to the MICH-ELF system. The documents are received as electronic images and displayed on a computer screen. Documents are reviewed during regular business hours, 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday excluding state holidays. An endorsement page and documents are returned to the fax number provided by the customer on the MICH-ELF application.
Q. Can I submit completed PDF forms directly from the web site?
A. Not at this time. Any documents or forms submitted must be completed, signed and saved into your computer prior to attaching documents to the email.
Q. What are may payment options?
A. To use FILEOnline, you must have a MICH-ELF filer account. Fees will be charged to your Mastercard of Visa.
Q. How will my filed document be returned?
A. The filed document will be returned by fax to the fax number on your MICH-ELF filer account.
Q. What if there is a problem and my document cannot be filed?
A. A document examiner will contact you by phone or fax within 10 days, or for expedited documents, within the expedited time selected.
