On November 21, 2005, Governor Granholm signed into law legislation, Public Acts 217, 218, 219 and 220 authorizing new expedited services for the formation of business entities and nonprofit corporations.  In addition, the legislation provides that new expedited services will also be available to existing entities when submitting any other documents.

The expedited service option permits the customer to obtain review and filing of their document, if fileable, within the time frame that best suits the customer's needs.  There are three levels of same day, expedited service; 1 hour, 2 hour and same day.

Expedited review and filing, if fileable, is available for all documents for profit corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships and nonprofit corporations.  The expedited service fees are in addition to the regular fees applicable to the specific document.  Please fill out form BCS/CD-272 for expedited service.

• 24 Hour - $50 for formation documents and certification of authority applications
  $100 for any document concerning an existing entity
• Same day - $100 for formation documents certificate of authority applications
  $200 for any document concerning an existing entity
  Review completed within one day of receipt.  Document and request for same day expedited service must be received by 1:00pm EST or EDT.
• Two hour - $500
  Review completed within two hours on day of receipt.  Document and request for 2 hour expedited service must be received by 3:00pm EST or EDT.
• One hour - $1000
  Review completed within on hour on day of receipt.  Document and request for 1 hour expedited service must be received by 4:00pm EST or EDT.

First time MICH-Elf users requesting expedited service must obtain a MICH-Elf filer number (BCS/CD-901) prior to submitting a document for expedited services.
