Requirements for a CPA Certificate

Certified Public Accountant

To become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan an applicant must complete requirements in the following areas:

Once you have passed the exam and have earned the required one year of qualifying experience, you are encouraged to download the application packet from this website.  Please note that there are different verification forms for governmental experience.

Application packets are also available by calling the Board of Accountancy at (517) 241-9288, or by e-mail.
