Once a license or registration applicant has met all the requirements, the Department of Labor and Economic Growth mails a computer-generated wall license and pocket card (often called a "wallet license").

In addition, the Department contracts with a printing firm to make available the purchase of an optional, decorative wall certificate that reflects the licensee information. The printing vendor, Impact Solutions, offers either a 9" x 12" or an 11" by 14" personalized wall certificate, printed on 80# parchment paper stock and enriched with gold foil-embossed State of Michigan seal. Purchase of decorative certificates by licensees is entirely optional.
