An applicant for reciprocal licensure must be of good moral character and shall pass a written examination developed by the department. In addition, each applicant shall have had not less than 7 years of training and experience in the actual implementation and practice of landscape architecture. Satisfactory completion of each year up to 5 years of an accredited course in landscape architecture in an accredited school shall be considered as equivalent to a year of experience.
To apply by reciprocity, please complete and return the Application for Landscape Architects License to our office with the required fee. Along with the application and fee, you will also need to:

Contact the Council of Landscape Architect Registration Boards (CLARB) to have a copy of your CLARB Council Record sent to our office.

Have the state(s) in which you took the examination and are currently licensed in (if they are different) submit a certification of licensure to our office, have the University you attended submit official transcripts to our office, and have five (5) experience verification forms sent to our office. Three (3) out of the five (5) forms must be completed by licensed/registered Landscape Architects who are familiar with your work experience.
