Renew a License, Registration or Permit

INDIVIDUALS RENEWING WITH NO ADDRESS CHANGE

Licensee will need their 10-digit Permanent ID number (license number located on the lower left corner of your license) and a Visa or MasterCard.

Renew at www.michigan.gov/bcsrenewal

At the Welcome Screen, enter your 10-digit permanent ID number. Click on "Login".

At the License Home Page, Click on "Renew License" in the upper left corner of the screen.

Your license information will be displayed. If it is correct, Click on "Continue" in the box containing your license information. If your license information is incorrect, or your license has expired, contact the Licensing office at (517) 241-9288.

Click on "Begin Renewal Application".

Click on "Complete".

Click on "Pay Fees and Submit".

The fee due for renewal will be displayed. Click on the "Renewal Fee Checkbox" to identify the license(s) for which you are renewing. If you have more than one license with the Bureau of Commercial Services they will appear, check the boxes for the license(s) you wish to renew. Click on "Pay Fee".

Enter your credit card information (Visa or MasterCard), Click on "Process Payment".

A Payment Receipt will be displayed. Click on "Print Receipt" if you want a receipt for the transaction.

Click on "Logout" in the upper left corner of the screen. Your transaction is complete. Thank you for renewing on-line. You should receive your renewed license within five business days.

INDIVIDUALS RENEWING WITH A MAILING ADDRESS CHANGE

Licensee will need their 10-digit Permanent ID number (license number located at the lower left corner of your license), Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and a Visa or MasterCard. You will also need your User Name and Password if you have used this website in the past. This site uses Pop-up forms that you need to complete. You will need to turn off any Pop-up blocker to access the forms.

Renew at www.michigan.gov/elicense

At the eLicense page, Click on "Accountancy" in the right hand column.

At the Welcome Screen, Enter your User Name and Password if you have them. Otherwise, Click on "Register" in the upper left corner of the screen.

To Register, enter your Permanent ID Number, Birth Date, and Social Security Number. Click "Search".

Your Name and Birth Date will appear. Enter a User ID and Password. If you previously registered, your User ID will also appear. Enter a new password. Click on "Register".

Click on "Login".

Enter your User Name and Password. Click on "Login".

Your license information will appear. Click on "Renew License" in the upper left corner of the screen.

Click on "Continue".

Your address will be displayed. Click on "here" where you are offered the opportunity to update your mailing address.

Make changes then Click on "Update Mailing Address".

Click on "Pay Fees and Submit".

The fee due for renewal will be displayed. Click on the "Renewal Fee". If you have more than one license with the Bureau of Commercial Services they will appear, check the boxes for the license(s) you wish to renew. Click on "Pay Fee".

Enter your credit card information (Visa or MasterCard), Click on "Process Payment".

A Payment Receipt will be displayed. Click on "Print Receipt" if you want a receipt for the transaction. Note: If you have not turned off any Pop-up blocker you will not be able to see the receipt.

Click on "Logout" in the upper left corner of the screen. Your transaction is complete. Thank you for renewing on-line. You should receive your renewed license within five business days.
