The State Occupational Code (PA 299 of 1980, as amended) does not restrict or regulate the practice of interior design. Listing as an interior designer is NOT to be considered a registration, certification or licensure by the State of Michigan. A peson need not be listed to practice interior design. Listed interior designers may not practice architecture, professional engineering or professional surveying unless also licensed in the appropriate profession.
