Only after market vehicle protection product warranties entered into on or after June 14, 2006 fall under the jurisdiction of this Act.

DOES THE SELLER OF THE VEHICLE PROTECTION PRODUCT WARRANTY NEED TO REGISTER?
|
|
No, only the person, company or entity that is contractually obligated to the vehicle protection product purchaser under terms of a warranty is required to register. For instance, a retailer may sell a consumer a vehicle protection product in which another party, such as the manufacturer of the product, is obligated to pay any claims made against the warranty. In that instance the product manufacturer is required to register.

DOES THE ADMINISTRATOR OF A VEHICLE PROTECTION WARRANTY NEED TO REGISTER?

An administrator of a vehicle protection product warranty program must register, if the administrator is also the obligated party in the vehicle protection warranty.
