Effective March 11, 2007, the registration and enforcement functions for the Michigan Land Sales Act have been transferred to the Bureau of Commercial Services. The Michigan Land Sales Act provides for disposition of lots, parcels, units or interests in lands within real estate subdivisions; requires registration with the Department; protects purchasers from unfair and deceptive trade practices; provides for filing of bonds and performance assurances; regulates advertising, promotions and sales contracts; provides for payment of fees and proscribes penalties for violation
