After cycling from welfare to work and back to welfare again, Rudy Thompson wanted more.

He enrolled in JET and started training to become a nurse. He was hired almost immediately by a local nursing home.

"JET brings a man back to being a man," he said.

Obtaining a job that didn't rely on seasonal demand has helped stablize his finances and continue with additional training while supporting his family of three young children.
