Just as the Michigan National Guard has both a state and a federal mission, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) operates both state and federal programs using both state and federal funds.
DMVA and Michigan National Guard activities are funded from several sources: State of Michigan general funds, Federal funds from the United States Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Justice, and restricted funds from Veterans Homes member assessments and armory rental revenue.
The DMVA Office of Financial Services manages state-provided or state-controlled financial services and contracting.
The United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) manages federal-provided property and funds.
