On a weekly basis, there are field trips for shopping, artistic performances, sporting events, bowling, fishing (seasonal), and cultural endeavors.

Monthly, there are a variety performances at the homes. GRHV has begun After Hours, the up-scale dining experience.

Yearly there are such events as the SUVCW Ceremony of Remembrance, the Homeless Stand Down, the carnival, unit picnics, craft sales, donated holiday gifts, the English Pub, and special weekends with such groups as the AMVETS, PLAV, VFW, MOPH, VVA, MCL, American Legion, Jaycees, Elks.
