Physician Care at The Grand Rapids Home for Veterans
The Grand Rapids Home for Veterans has three full-time physicians under the direction of a medical director. Clinical services available on-campus include: dental, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, wound care, general surgery, and orthopedic surgery. Specialty care with VA hospitals and clinics, local hospitals, and consultants are directed by an assigned staff physician.
There is daily follow-up with nursing and other ancillary staff on member's condition. Our physicians maintain a close working relationship with members and their families.
Not only are they available at the Home during the day five days a week, there is also 24-hour on-call physician coverage.
