The Michigan Volunteer Defense Force is actively seeking dedicated individuals who are interested in serving the State of Michigan and their country.
Whether, you do not have prior service or you do have prior service in the U.S. Armed Forces or in a constitutionally recognized State Defense Force, we need you.
You may have specialized skills in areas such as law enforcement, civil engineering, emergency management technician, administration, communications, or many other skilled professions that are highly sought after.
The Michigan Volunteer Defense Force is an asset to the State of Michigan and non-deployable outside of the state's boundaries.

The Volunteer Defense Force is accepting applications for Officer and Enlisted positions.
These positions are located statewide and include opportunities within our four regimental regions and their field battalion districts. Your civilian and/or military experience may correspond to a needed skill, and if not we will provide you training in various mission related skills.
