It's Retirement Time!
Military retirement is something we all look forward to. However, many of us don't give this idea much thought until all of the sudden it's time to retire.

If you were a member of the Michigan National Guard, you may be entitled to two military retirement plans state and federal.

The Handbook for Military Retirees, available below, outlines benefits and priviledges. It also provides a variety of information that can answer many of the questions you might have about military retirement.

Retirees from military reserves, including National Guard, become eligible for retired pay after 20 years of creditable service and upon reaching 60 years of age.
