GOAL 1:
Focus on the people and relationships; "the profession".
1.1 - Recruit and retain individuals to authorized manning levels and established goals, annually by September 30th.
1.2 - Identify, leverage and publicize opportunities for professional developement and traning, including state, federal and military full time employees, annually by June 30th.
1.3 - Institutionalize employee recognition processes, to increase team memver cohesiveness, with quarterly celebrations, not later than December 30, 2013. |

Develop and improve premier infrastructure.
4.1 - Identify DMVA future infrastructure needs annually, by March 30th.
4.2 - Identify and deliberately pursue funding resources, through coordinated efforts to support infrastructure priorities, annually by June 30th. |

GOAL 5:
Think like a business to pursue resources in support of full spectrum military operations and services.
5.1 - Identify and prioritize missions/equipment, programs and/or activities which support our core competencies, annually by September 30th.
5.2 - Develop a strategic engagement plan to articulate our priorities, to program managers and resource providers, to increase DMVA assets by September 30, 2012.
5.3 - Identify and prioritize programs and activities, which support platoon live fire and unit maneuver, to increase training-throughput by 100,000 man-days by September 30, 2013. |

GOAL 6:
Enhance and expand veterans' services.
6.1 - Achieve certification and accreditation from United States Veterans Administration (USVA) by December 31, 2012.
6.2 - Reduce the rejection rate of veterans' benefits applications by 10% annually, by September 30th.
6.3 - Coordinate new legislation to revise the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund (MVTF) statutes by September 30, 2012. |
