Eligibility for Grand Rapids Home for Veterans

Members of the Armed Forces of the United States who have been honorably discharged and have served not less than 90 days of active duty are eligible for admission. Members of the National Guard, however, are not eligible unless called into active duty for not less than 90 days.

Eligible veterans must be residents of Michigan at the time of admission or must be an accredited Michigan veteran. Eligible veterans must also be considered unemployable.

In addition, parents, widows/widowers, and spouses/former spouses of eligible veterans, as described herein, are eligible for admission to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

Any questions regarding eligibility may be referred to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Admissions Office by telephoning, faxing, or writing directly to the Home.
