Little Presque Isle Rustic Cabins

An Experience to Remember

Enjoy the seclusion and quiet of a log cabin get-away among the birch and pine woodlands of Harlow Lake and Harlow Creek. Natural beauty surrounds you with eighteen miles of hiking trails, over four miles of Lake Superior beach, breathtaking scenery, fishing opportunities, and wildlife at Little Presque Isle.

Little Presque Isle offers unique recreation experiences for all seasons. Take advantage of Spring flowers, summer's warmth, magnificent autumn colors, or consider a winter stay and snowshoe to your cabin or use the 6 mile long Harlow Lake nordic ski trail.

The woods and waters of Little Presque Isle offer a variety of habitats for birds and animals to find food, water and cover. A hike on the 1.1 mile Songbird Trail takes you through a variety of local habitats to view several species of birds.

Rustic Accommodations

The log cabins are one room that can accommodate up to six people. Water is provided by an outdoor hand pump and vault toilets are nearby. A woodstove provides warmth in cold weather. There is NO electricity at Little Presque Isle.

Guests should provide all basic necessities for camping in the cabins. This includes (but is not limited to) a light source, first aid kit, cooking equipment, warm clothing and sleeping bags.

Cabin Season

Cabins are available for rent year round. Tent camping is not permitted at Little Presque Isle.

A minimum stay of 2 nights is required in cabins and a maximum stay of 15 nights is allowed. Reservations are required for cabin rental.

Step into an Adventure

Although the roads in Little Presque Isle are suitable for all vehicles, none of them lead directly to the cabins. This helps maintain the "rustic" appeal of your stay. Parking is available at trailheads.

Guests should be prepared to make up to a 1/2 mile hike to the cabin sites. The terrain is mostly flat and the trail is well marked.
