A Porcupine Mountains Folk School event
Discover how to plan and prepare a spot at home for a butterfly garden. A Master Gardener will teach you how to use native plants to attract wildlife, collect plant seeds and propagate native shrubs. Cost of class is $5.00. Get hands on experience planting native plants in the park. A presentation on butterflies provides a break from toiling in the soil. Take home butterfly garden seed packets to create a butterfly garden.
Ages 13 & older are welcome; children 6-12 with adult. Walk-ins are welcome. One fee covers an adult with a child. Be prepared to work outside. Wear outdoor clothing, bring gloves, bug repellent and a lunch. Fees for classes cancelled after the registration deadline will not be refunded. Registration deadline is Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
