The DNR has completed its 5 year State Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) for 2008-2012. Under the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) program, Michigan makes money available to local units of government and other public agencies to acquire land and develop facilities for public outdoor recreation. In order to continue it's eligibility to receive LWCF funding, the DNR must update its current recreation plan. You may download the entire plan or view individual chapters below.
