The Department of Natural Resources announced today that Ludington State Park will begin the process of raising Hamlin Lake to its summer level on Tuesday, April 1, unless there is still ice on the lake.
It is anticipated the process will take two to four weeks, depending upon precipitation during the period. The summer level is maintained at approximately two feet above the winter level.
The DNR is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources for current and future generations.
