DeTour Harbor State Dock Fuel Now Available; Slips Still Open for Memorial Day Weekend

DeTour Harbor in Chippewa County is open for full operation, including fuel sales, as repairs to the fuel system have been completed, the Department of Natural Resources announced today.

"We would like to thank boaters for their patience, and fuel is now available at DeTour Harbor for Memorial Day weekend," said Wayne Burnett, Straits State Park supervisor. "Plenty of slips are open for this holiday weekend, so make your reservations today."

DeTour Harbor State Dock has 70 seasonal and transient slips. Some of the amenities offered at DeTour Harbor include water, electricity (30/50 amp), restrooms, showers, pump out service, day use dockage, 24-hour security, grills, picnic tables, a dog run, and now gasoline, including diesel fuel.

Make your reservations now by calling the central reservation system at 800-447-2757, on-line at www.midnrreservations.com, or you can contact DeTour Harbor direct at 906-297-5947 for Memorial Day weekend reservations.
