Validating Kills

Immediately after killing a bear, a person shall validate their license by cutting out the appropriate information as instructed on the license. The license must then be attached to the bear's lower jaw. You may wish to stick your license on a kill tag backer, which is available from license dealers, then insert a wire or cord through the hole at the top of the kill tag backer and tie the backer and license to the lower jaw of the bear in a secure and permanent manner. The bear must be registered by the person who killed it within 72 hours of the kill.
