How to Apply

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Look at the map Antlerless Deer Management Units for 2008 and choose the DMU where you wish to hunt.
  2. Find the DMU in the hunt table to see if public land antlerless licenses are available.
  3. Complete Public Land License Application below.
  4. Apply at a license agent  or online* at the DNR E-License Web Page.
  5. It is unlawful to apply more than once.
  6. Check your receipt. Retain receipt as proof of application.

*Note: Following the drawing, successful applicants who purchase their license online will receive their license by mail within seven days. If you do not receive your license, contact customer service at
(517) 373-1204.Drawing results are posted online.

Public Land License Application Worksheet

The license agent will ask for the following information when applying:

2. Customer ID Number? Michigan Driver License, State of Michigan ID Card, or DNR Sportcard
3. Application Item Type? 150 Public Land Application

Note: If you are using this worksheet to purchase a private land license over the counter, you or the license agent must put a 2 in front of the DMU, and you will need the phone number of the private landowner granting permission to hunt.
