Look at the map and descriptions and select a Hunt Unit.

Use the Hunt Numbers and License Quotas pages below to find the available hunt numbers for the hunt unit you selected in step 1. Choose the hunt number(s) in which you would like to participate. Spring turkey hunters may make two choices. Fall turkey hunters may make only one choice.

Complete the Application Worksheetbelow.

Apply at a license agent or online at the DNR E-License Web Page.

It is unlawful to apply more than once.

Check your receipt. Retain receipt as proof of application.
Drawing results are posted online. All applicants, except those who applied online, will be mailed a postcard within one week of when the results are posted. Application assistance is available.

It costs $4 to apply.

To apply, you will need one of the following forms of identification:

Valid Michigan driver license

State of Michigan ID card (issued by the Secretary of State)

DNR Sportcard (issued through license agentsor at DNR E-License
-
It is critical that you keep your mailing address up to date with the Secretary of State.

You must be at least 10 years old by the time a license is purchased.
Applicant Responsibilities

When you apply, you are responsible for:
-
Submitting a single application. Applicants who apply more than once, falsify information, or apply with more than one party member will be ineligible for the drawing.

Ensuring that no more than two applicants apply as a party. The first applicant of each partnership will supply the hunt area choice and receive a "partnership identification" number. The other partner will need this number when applying to complete the partnership.

Checking that your information was correctly entered by the agent. An incorrect customer ID will cause you to become ineligible for a license.

Ensuring that you receive a DNR receipt. The DNR receipt clearly states your customer ID. Do not accept a DNR receipt that is not legible.

Retaining your DNR receipt as proof that you applied.
IMPORTANT: It is your responsibility to check your application receipt for accuracy.
Successful Applicants

You may purchase your hunting license from any
license agent
or online at DNR E-License.

All licenses must be signed to be valid. Your signature on the license certifies that you meet applicable residency and hunter safety requirements to purchase a Michigan hunting license.

Make sure the information on your license is accurate.

Licenses may not be altered or transferred.
