• Technical Fisheries Committee Administrative Report 2006: Status of Lake Trout and Lake Whitefish Populations in the 1836 Treaty-Ceded Waters of Lakes Superior, Huron and Michigan in 2005, with recommended yield and effort levels for 2006 The Consent Decree states that mortality of lake trout shall be regulated with yield and effort limits throughout the 1836 Treaty-ceded waters. In management units in which the state and tribes share commercial whitefish fisheries, the mortality of whitefish shall be regulated with yield limits. The Consent Decree provides specific guidelines on how these yield and effort limits should be calculated. A Modeling Subcommittee (MSC) of the Technical Fisheries Committee (TFC) was established and charged to develop the yield and effort limits required in the Consent Decree. | • 2000 Great Lakes Tribal Consent Decree Amendments and Stipulations | • 2007 Annual Report on Implementation of 2000 Consent Decree for 1836 Treaty-ceded Waters of the Great Lakes This document reports the harvest and effort limits established for lake trout and lake whitefish within the 1836 Treaty-ceded waters of the Great Lakes. It also reports the harvest of various species by state commercial fishers and recreational anglers and tribal commercial and subsistence fishers. | • Consent Decree 2000 - 1836 Treaty Great Lakes Waters This Decree governs allocation, management, and regulation of State and Tribal fisheries in the 1836 Treaty waters during the term described in section XXII. The Tribes shall adopt the CORA Charter, Tribal Plan, and Tribal Code for management and regulation of their fisheries during this period.
