Snowmobile Trail Maps
The DNR provides snowmobile maps in a variety of formats for Michigan's nearly 6,500 miles of designated snowmobile trails.
The map of Michigan (below) highlights Michigan's four snowmobiling regions, including the Western Upper Peninsula (WUP), the Eastern Upper Peninsula (EUP), the Northern Lower Peninsula (NLP) and the Southern Lower Peninsula (SLP). Directly beneath the map is a listing of each region containing a regional PDF map and PDF maps for each county within the region. These maps are able to be printed or you may save them to your computer or mobile device. In addition, these geospatial PDFs can be used in mobile applications such as the Avenza PDF Maps Mobile App. When using applications such as the Avenza App, PDF maps must be downloaded to the device.

- GPX: GPS units let you import .gpx files and track your location.
- Shapefile: A shapefile is a recognized format for many desktop GIS applications and may help users incorporate trail data into their own maps.
- KML: Use a .kml file in Google Earth and explore trail data on top of a virtual globe.
