Saturdays starting
February 7 to February 28, 2009
our park staff will guide a walk from
10 a.m.
to
12 noon.
Winter Nature Walk
Each winter the park never fails to impress our guests and they always find a story to tell about their visit. The park has fox, deer and many other small animals for visitors to enjoy in winter.
This year you may or may not be lucky enough to see a fox or deer but almost certainly a walk over snowy trails in our park will provide you with a look at fox and deer tracks and reveal a little piece of the sometimes secret lives of these interesting animals.
Identifying Trees in Winter
Believe it or not trees and other woody plants can be identified in winter by characteristics such as buds, twigs, bark as well as left over fruit and leaves.
Please dress warm bring your the kids and cameras and make this a every Saturday family walk. There will be hot coffee and hot chocolate provided at the end of this event.
