Traverse City State Park--Haunted Harvest Festival

Reserve your campsite for a haunted harvest festival at Traverse City State Park. Hayrides, pumpkin painting and other related activities. There will be site decorations and trick or treating for campers only. For more details contact the park at 231-922-5270. All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the park entrance and headquarters. Cost is $24 for a resident annual and $6 for a resident daily. A nonresident annual is $29 and a nonresident daily is $8. 

Update: 

On Friday night, October 16 at 7 PM we are holding a scavenger hunt for all ages followed by marshmallows and spooky story telling at 8 PM.

On Saturday, October 17 there will be Halloween kid's tattoos, ghost bingo, bat crafts, and pinata fun during the day.

At 3 PM we will hold the pumpkin carving contest and pumpkins will be provided until they are gone. The pumpkins can be picked up for carving on Saturday between 9-10 AM. ( campers only)

At 5 PM we will be holding a costume judging contest for all ages, including a pet category.

From 5:30-7 PM, trick or treating from campsite to campsite will take place. Non campers are invited to Trunk or treat. They need to set up on a site and pass out candy from their car.

At dusk, we will have a judge go around the campground and judge the campsites and from 7-?, campers and visitors alike, can participate in the hay ride and walk thru the haunted restroom.

On Sunday, we will gather at 9:30 AM for donuts and hot drinks and at this time will pass out prizes for the pumpkin carving contest and the site decorating contest.
