Van Buren State Park--"Go-Get Outdoors" 5K Run/Walk
The competitive run and the "just-for-fun" walk will begin in the south parking lot of the day-use area. The course covers two miles of paved roads and about one mile of an old railrod spur that has a natural gravel surface. The run begins at 9 a.m., followed by the walk stepping off at 9:05. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in the competitive run. All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the park entrance and headquarters. Cost is $24 for a resident annual and $6 for a resident daily. A nonresident annual is $29 and a nonresident daily is $8.
