The Michigan State Parks system was created in 1919 and on June 20th, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources will be celebrating the 90th birthday of the park system at all state parks in Michigan. Join us at Hartwick Pines for a full day of activities in honor of this event. There will be fishing at Bright and Glory Lakes, guided tours, activities at the Logging Museum, the dedication of a new CCC statue and cake and ice cream. The day will be topped off with a special program at 7pm at the Logging Museum of Michael Derens Past in Person program of a Northern Michigan Shantyboy.
