Tahquamenon Falls State Park--Wilderness Canoe Race

Professional two-person canoe race down the Tahquamenon River on Saturday, September 11 at 10 a.m. The 17-mile race begins at the Lower Falls and finishes at Whitefish Bay near the campground. A shorter one-person race also offered, as well as a "Free-for-All" for amateurs and paddling enthusiasts. Event hosted by teh Paradise Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Canoe Racing Association. All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the park entrance and headquarters. Cost is $24 for a resident annual and $6 for a resident daily. A nonresident annual is $29 and a nonresident daily is $8.
