SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - DICKINSON COUNTY

BUSH LAKE – WC-22-99-001 – Slow—no wake speed.

On the waters of Bush Lake, all within sections 18 and 19, town 42 north, range 30 west, Sagola township, Dickinson county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow—no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

HAMILTON LAKE CHAIN OF LAKES - WC-22-06-001 - Slow--no wake speed.

On the connecting waters, in the channel between Hamilton Lake and Louise Lake and the canal from Mary Lake to Louise Lake, all located within Section 20, Town 39 North, Range 28 West, township of Waucedah, county of Dickinson, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow--no wake speed.  For the purpose of this ordinance a slow--no wake speed is a speed which is a very slow speed whereby the wake or wash created from a motorboat would be minimal.

The boundaries of the area described immedicately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys.  All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

NORWAY LAKE - WC-22-90-001 - Slow--no wake speed.

On the waters of Norway lake, section 5, T43N, R28W, Felch township, Dickinson county, it is unlawful to:

(a) Operate a vessel powered by a motor except an electric motor.

(b) Exceed a slow--no wake speed.

Pulisher's Note: This watercraft control pertained to motorboats prohibited on Norway Lake, Felch township, Dickinson county.

MENOMINEE RIVER - WC-22-97-001 - Slow—no wake speed.

On the waters of the Menominee River lying north from the snowmobile trail bridge (old railroad tressel) to he U.S. 2 and U.S. 41 bridge, section 13, town 40 north, range 31 west, Breitung township, Dickinson county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow—no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.
