Rare Bird Observation Forms

A rare bird form should be completed by those who observe an endangered, threatened, or special concern species. Completed forms are forwarded to the Michigan Natural Features Inventory (MNFI) where the information is used to protect these species. Exact locations are kept confidential. The MNFI Special Animals list can be found on the MNFI website.

The MNFI Rare Bird Observation Form can be completed by hand and mailed to the address on the form. An automated form is also available in MS Word format which can be completed and submitted electronically (see form for further details.)
