Holland State Park will be hosting a "GO-Get Outdoors" powerlifting event on Saturday, Aug. 16. The event is a push/pull contest that will include awards for bench press, deadlift and iron man competitions. The event will take place near the Lake Michigan bathhouse, and will start at 8:15 a.m. with the weigh-in. It is being sponsored by the American Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation.
There is a fee to enter each event. Persons interested in competing should contact John Jachim at 231-629-1158.

All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
