Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division staff invites the public to an informal meeting to share thoughts and ideas on wildlife management in the Eastern Upper Peninsula.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Luce County Health Department Building, located at 14150 Hamilton Lake Rd. in Newberry. It will begin at 7 p.m. and is expected to conclude around 8:30 p.m.
"There have been numerous personnel changes in the eastern U.P Wildlife Division staff in recent months," said Terry Minzey, eastern U.P. Wildlife supervisor. "We felt this would be a great way to acquaint the public with the new faces and, at the same time, take the opportunity to have informal discussions with people about their wildlife-related issues and concerns."
Refreshments will be served. Individuals attending the meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. Persons with disabilities needing accommodations for this meeting should contact Terry Minzey at 906-293-5131.
