The Eastern Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory Council (CAC) for the Department of Natural Resources will meet Thursday, April 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Luce-Mackinac-Alger-Schoolcraft (LMAS) District Health Department, located at 14150 Hamilton Lake Rd. in Newberry.
Topics for discussion include:
- Supplemental Feeding
- Wind Energy
- Carbon Credits
- Non-Industrial Private Forestland Program
The CACs were formed to give UP citizens more input into DNR regional programs and activities. The councils, both an Eastern UP and Western UP one, have a wide array of outdoor recreation interests represented and help the DNR identify ways to be more effective across the region.
CAC meetings are open to the public. For more information, contact Stacy Welling, DNR UP field deputy, at 906-228-6561.
