The Department of Natural Resources today announced that improvements to the Lake Ovid boating access site ramp, located at Sleepy Hollow State Park in Clinton County, are scheduled to begin at the end of April. The old ramp will be replaced with a new barrier-free, expanded ramp to include one additional lane. This improvement will result in easier access to the lake.
Construction will begin at the end of April, with completion scheduled for mid-May.
There may be short periods of time where the ramp will be closed due to construction, but every effort will be taken to maintain at least one open lane to allow continued access to the lake.
This project is funded through the Michigan State Waterways Fund, a restricted fund derived from boat registration fees and a portion of the Michigan marine fuel tax for the construction, operation and maintenance of recreational boating facilities, harbors and inland waterways.
