The Western Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory Council (CAC) for the Department of Natural Resources will meet Monday, July 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. CDT at the Wakefield VFW Post #9084, located at

The CACs were formed to give U.P. citizens more input into DNR regional programs and activities. The councils, in both the Eastern U.P. and Western U.P., represent a wide array of outdoor recreation interests and help the DNR identify ways to be more effective across the region.

CAC meetings are open to the public. If you would like to be considered as a future CAC member, please fill out the nomination form found on the DNR Web site at www.michigan.gov/dnr. Click on Commissions, Boards & Committees, then click on Upper Peninsula Citizen Advisory Councils to find the nomination form. For more information, contact DNR Upper Peninsula Field Deputy Stacy Welling at (906) 228-6561.

The DNR is committed to the conservation, protection, management, use and enjoyment of the state's natural resources
