Clear Lake and Onaway State Parks are pleased to announce that this summer season canoes, kayaks and rowboats are available to rent at both parks. These boats will be available for full-day and half-day rentals.
"We realized that this is a great 'GO-Get Outdoors' opportunity we can provide for our campers and day users," said DNR Park Supervisor Greg Kinser. "Clear Lake is a beautiful inland lake where, on a typical day, a person can potentially see the bottom of the lake in up to 30 feet of water. Offering kayaks allows for first time kayakers to try out the sport. Also for rent are canoes and rowboats. Both lakes present great fishing opportunities and a chance for a peaceful paddle for those who do not own watercraft."
For questions about rentals please contact Clear Lake State Park at 989-785-4388 or Onaway State Park at 989-733-8279.
All motor vehicles entering a state park or recreation area must display a Motor Vehicle Permit, available for purchase at the entrance. Cost is $24 for resident annual and $6 for resident daily. A non-resident annual is $29 and a non-resident daily is $8.
