Paul J. Eisele
Paul J. Eisele of Saline is a consultant to MASCO Corporation and served as a Commissioner on the Michigan Natural Resources Commission from July 1991 through December 2003. He was the Director of Health, Safety and Environmental Affairs for the Masco Corporation of Taylor, the largest kitchen cabinet and plumbing product manufacturer in the United States for 18 years.

He is an industry representative to state and federal advisory committees and industry groups dealing with both environmental and occupational health. He previously served the state as a member of both the Hazardous Waste Management Policy Committee and the Industry Safety Standards Commission.

Paul has a doctorate in environmental health sciences from the University of Michigan, specializing in toxicology. He studies environmental policy and management at Harvard University.

Dr. Karen Potter-Witter
Karen Potter-Witter, Ph.D. is Professor of forest economics in the Department of Forestry at Michigan State University. Her research and extension work is in timber supply, forestry investment analysis, forest taxation and private forestland policy analysis. She has published more than 70 articles and extension publications on these topics. Dr. Potter-Witter reaches forest economics, and has taught forest and natural resource policy, and timber management at MSU. Her experience includes twenty-three years at Michigan State University, seven years as a consultant for government and industry and as a staff forester with Potlatch Corporation. Karen holds forest management, applied statistics and resource economics degrees from Michigan Technological University, the University of Minnesota, and Michigan State University.

Karen is a 30-year member of the Society of American Foresters, and was elected as an SAF Fellow in 1999. In addition to the Michigan Forest Finance Authority Board, she is also a member of the Xi Sigma Pi honorary society, Michigan Technological University President's Council of Alumnae, the Michigan Forest Association and Trout Unlimited.

Kelvin Smyth
Smyth is responsible for relations with state and local governments in Michigan. He oversees internal and external communications, community relations, and is responsible for the locations' charitable giving program. He joined the company in May 1993.

Prior to joining the company, Smyth worked for U.S. Senator Carl Levin for 14 years, first as regional representative in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and, for eight years as Michigan director. He is a political science graduate of Lake Superior State University and has done graduate work at Central Michigan University.

Smyth served as president of the board of the Wil-liam Bonifas Fine Arts Center in Escanaba; serves on the boards of the Lake Superior State University Foundation; The Michigan Humanities Council; the Delta County Economic Club; Michigan Works! The Job Force Board; Operation Action U.P.; several state-wide business organizations; and is vice president of the Escanaba Rotary Club. He was appointed to serve on the Michigan Forest Finance Authority by Governor Jennifer Granholm.

Warren Suchovsky
Suchovsky Logging

Mr. Warren Suchovsky is a logger with 50 years of logging experience. Mr. Suchovsky, and his son, co-own and operate Suchovsky Logging LLC located in Daggett, Michigan, which is a Michigan Certified Master Logger Company.

Mr. Suchovsky is a member of several forestry related organizations. He serves as a Trustee on the Board of the Great Lakes Forest Alliance, the Michigan Forest Stewardship Advisory Committee, the Michigan Association of Timbermen, Michigan Forest Association, the Michigan Farm Bureau, and the Michigan-Wisconsin Timber Producers Association. In 2004, Mr. Suchovsky developed the Michigan Master Logger Certification Program which was approved by the American Loggers Council.

Mr. Suchovsky earned an M.S. in Agricultural Economics from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, and his B.S. in Dairy Production from Michigan State University. He also taught high school Vocational Agriculture for several years.

In 1986, Mr. Suchovsky was chosen to be the Michigan Tree Farmer of the Year and in 1987 was selected to be Midwestern Tree Farmer of the Year.
