The Friday January 15, 2010, Meeting has been cancelled.

The WRCAC Executive Board is still cloudy as to what the Executive Order 2009-6 that discontinued the Council and recombines DEQ/DNR effective on January 17th means.  There is discussion among the agencies to develop a reconstituted Council within the new administration. There has been no formal confirmation of this intention as a new, permanent director of the new department has not been appointed. In the face of this uncertainty, the WRCAC Executive Board is postponing convening Council Members until a later date when actions are taken to reform the Council or to simply meet as partners interested in advancing our work as detailed in the FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS  A REPORT OF THE WATER RESOURCES CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL  NOVEMBER 2009  A REQUIREMENT OF PUBLIC ACT 189 OF 2008.
