Studying the States

Dear Michigan Historical Center,

We are studying the states in school this year. Please send me everything you've got about Michigan.

Thank you,
A. Student

Will your class be studying the states this year? The Michigan Historical Center provides information about the state's human history.

You will find lots of information on the "Michigan Facts & History" area of our web site. You may use these pages with your students and on your bulletin boards.

We encourage your students to write letters to their grandparents, to their friends and to us, if they have a specific question about Michigan that cannot be answered by consulting a good encyclopedia, by doing research at a school or public library or by searching our web site. We will give each question serious consideration (although we might not be able to reply in time for them to finish their report tonight).

To locate information about Michigan from other departments and agencies, visit www.michigan.gov. Click on "State Web Sites."

Contact the Michigan Historical Center.
