Donations to Memorial Fund for Waterfowl Hunter Killed in Accident

Two memorial funds have been established in honor of Sean Monschau, the waterfowl hunter who was tragically killed at Fish Point Waterfowl Area in October 2011.

Fish Point Wildlife Association Fund for Memorial Projects at Waterfowl Area

The Fish Point Wildlife Association (FPWA) has been working with the DNR on the installation of a memorial at the Fish Point Waterfowl Area check station. A Sean Monschau memorial project fund, set up at Independent Bank in Sebawaing, will be used to purchase the memorial for the station. A special, larger-scale memorial project that all waterfowl hunters can use - ideas include memorial field markers or an accessible blind - will be planned as donations allow. The FPWA will be working closely with Sean's family and friends to plan a project that they think will suit his memory best. Whatever monies are raised and not used for the project(s) will be presented to Sean's wife and kids.

If you would like to make a donation directly to Sean Monschau's family to be used as they see fit, a memorial fund has been established at Security Credit Union. To make a donation to this fund:
