- Species-specific hunting license
- Limited-license species (bear, elk, turkey, antlerless deer) require the purchase of an application to be entered into the draw. Those successful in the draw will be able to purchase a license for that species, and leftover licenses (if any) will be available for purchase after the draw.
Comprehensive Lifetime License holders may purchase a leftover bear license from any license agent or online beginning July 10 at 10 a.m. (EDT). Unsuccessful drawing applicants may purchase a remaining license beginning July 17 at 10 a.m. Any hunter may purchase a remaining bear license beginning July 24 at 10 a.m., including those who did not apply. Remaining bear licenses are available to Michigan residents only and will be sold until quotas are met. Note: Preference points will be reset to zero for purchasers of a leftover bear license, except for Lifetime Comprehensive License holders.

Drawing Results Available Online: Mar. 6Notes: Applicants successful in the draw will need to purchase their Base License before obtaining their Spring Turkey License. Unsuccessful drawing applicants may purchase one leftover spring turkey license beginning March 13 at 10 a.m. EDT. Individuals who did not apply may purchase a remaining license beginning March 20 at 10 a.m. EDT. Licenses will be sold until quotas are met.
