Woodcock and Waterfowl Leg-Band Reporting

Every hunter can promote sound woodcock and waterfowl management by promptly reporting all banded birds harvested, including date and location taken. This information is used to determine annual survival and migration routes. To report bands you can do one of the following:

    • call 800-327-BAND or
    • go online to www.reportband.gov or
    • write: USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center,
      Bird Banding Laboratory,
      12100 Beech Forest Road,
      Laurel, MD 20708-4037;
      www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl.
