Pine River Channel

Channel that connects Round Lake/Lake Charlevoix to Lake Michigan. Channel is heavy with boat traffic at times. Easily accessible, wide open location to fish. Concrete piers with some sections of railing. The channel is managed by the city of Charlevoix.

Driving Directions

Go to Charlevoix, MI. At the North side of the downtown drawbridge on US31 you will find the Weathervane Restaurant. Enter their parking lot and proceed west toward the lake. There are public parking spaces at the far end of that lot. Park and walk down to the end of the pier. Good spot for salmon in the fall, especially at night. You can also fish the other side of the channel, by the lighthouse. People catch smallmouth bass there.
