Michigan's Iron Belle Trail is a remarkably diverse and passionate public-private partnership of federal, state, county, and local agencies, non-profit organizations, volunteers, and private property owners. Rules and use guidelines are determined by individual managing authorities for each section of trail, meaning that rules may vary on different sections of each route. Please respect the rules and regulations of each land management agency and private landowners.
Michigan DNR is working to compile a list of contact information and/or websites for all of the partners who manage sections of trail. If you have questions about use on a particular section of trail at this time, please contact the local managing authority. The draft route lists names of smaller trails which comprise Michigan's Iron Belle Trail. In most cases, an online search will help determine who manages a trail.
