    The Lodge at Mears State Park

    The camping lodge at Mears State Park is nestled against the slopes of Pentwarter's famous sand dune "Old Baldy".

    The lodge sleeps up to eight people, has a modern kitchen, two bathrooms and a family room with television, DVD player games and a collection of books. Outside the guests will find a picnic table, lawn chairs, grills and a fire circle to enjoy. A short walk from the lodge the visitors will find a beautiful Lake Michigan beach along with hiking trails and fishing opportunities. 

    The kitchen is all set up with a stove, microwave , toaster, refrigerator, pots, pans and dinerware.  A washer and dryer are also present and the guests are provided with linens.  Daily maid service is not provided and the guests are expected to clean and leave the building ready for the next guests. 

    The cabin has 2 sets of bunk beds, one full  and one queen size bed.  The two bathrooms contain one shower and one shower/tub combination  (bedding and towels are provided). 

    The lodge will re-open for the 2007 season on April 13th.  Reservations are made by calling the park at 231-869-2051.  cost to rent the lodge for a week is $1200.  Nightly rates are $162 and weekends/holidays are $195 per night.

    Smoking and pets are prohibited according to State law unless it is a service animal.
